Here are a couple snaps from a family outing to Detering's Orchard. Oh, how I love November... the crock pot dinners, the colors and textures of the leaves and berries and spent flowers, the mulled cider, curling up with a good book (I just finished Dickens' David Copperfield--I'd never read it before, and thoroughly enjoyed it!) while it blusters outside, baking my heart out to incessant chants of "Can we lick the beaters? Can we lick the beaters?" ;0) Oh! And did I mention my love affair with caramel apples? Oh yes, I mustn't forget to mention the caramel apples... I think we'd better head back to Detering's already:
