The kids and I spent this Memorial Day at the coast with some of my extended family. After the parade, Uncle Bruce and Aunt Lynnae had us all out to their place for hot dogs (Costco's chicken and applesauce hot dogs by the way, which were amazing!). Uncle Bruce expressed my heart perfectly when he said a prayer of thanks "for all who gave it all".
