A Valentine's Themed Shoot! ... Cottage Grove Oregon Family Photographer

Corey was out of town for a meeting yesterday, so the kids and I got out of the house to have some fun exploring and playing with giant heart candies... I'm planning to use these images and storyboards as part of some sort of Valentine's Day craft project:

"Sweet Pea" is one of my primary terms of endearment for Kendra:

Wouldn't you just love to know what they were saying to each other here? Evidently, it was hilarious:

Kendra and Micah are, quite literally, a match made in heaven. They love each other so deeply that I get teary every time I think about it, just like I am as I'm typing now. And if you know me, you know I don't really do "teary". ;0) They hug spontaneously all the time, bestow oodles of kisses on each other, and hold hands as much as is humanly possible. Often when I'm driving, I'll glance back and see them with their arms stretched across the backseat, holding hands in the empty space between their car seats. And here, in the next pic--All I asked them to do was sit next to each other. It wasn't until I got home and pulled these up on the computer that I noticed they were holding hands. Times two:

In fact, I noticed that they're holding hands in most of these pictures, but I never once asked them to. I am SO richly blessed, it's overwhelming. Thank you, God, for the indescribable joy these precious blessings bring me!

I got the giant candy hearts in a 99 cent bag at Safeway. I shared a couple of these images with some photog friends who might give this idea a whirl, too! Shoot me an e-mail (jamie.zanotti@gmail.com) if you do a Valentine's Themed Shoot, and maybe I can put together a post with links to a bunch of 'em. It would be fun to see all the different takes on the idea!
