Everyone needs a Charity in their life. Charity is a sweet friend of mine from church, and she's the kind of person that always leaves me with the feeling that everything's going to be juuuust fine. She has weathered a number of family tragedies in the last few years, with jaw-dropping grace. She's that mom... The one who always has time to make gingerbread houses from scratch. The one who shows up to every shower and birthday with hand-made gorgeousness. The one whose home is open to all, all the time.

Charity has a beautiful collection of heirloom photos in her home, which I thought of when I saw this image of Ellie. So I decided to have some fun in Photoshop, and process it with those old black and white photos in mind:
