I got to visit Pike's Place in Seattle recently, and was just LOVING all the color, and texture, and rain-enhanced grit...





I wonder if I could talk my hubby into doing this on our ceilings...

JAZ Book Ideas

As a Baby Shower gift for my friend Heather, I went with a spin on the "Engagement Session Guest Book" idea (where you have a book of your Engagement Photos, with plenty of white space for guests to sign at the wedding), and left room for Shower-attending friends to write notes of encouragement, or special scriptures, or whatnot amongst her maternity photos:











A book like this would also make a great "journal to baby", that the expecting Momma could write in. Or it could be used to commemorate a special birthday, say a 10th, with room for the 10-year-old to jot some notes in the white spaces. Or it could be used at a HS Senior Grad Party, for friends and family to document memories and/or notes of encouragement. Or or or... the list goes on and on! HS Senior: Mistie ... Springfield Oregon HS Senior Photographer

Mistie, her Mom, Kandy, and I took a "girls day" road trip over the mountain, and jumped out here and there to do Senior Pics of Mistie along the way. I've always dreamt of having a bun warmer in my car, and they've got 'em. So with that, and some amazing BBQ for lunch, I was pretty much set. Oh--And Mistie looked AMAZING as always, and was game for anything! It was a perfect day:











Mistie is the epitome of what it means to be beautiful from the inside out. You can just see the warmth, love, and gentleness in her heart:




Mistie is a country girl, through and through, and wanted to capture that, white fence and all... We did it, Mistie! We did it:




It was pouring rain much of the day, as it was at this moment. I was snuggled up to Kandy, who was holding an umbrella for me here:


















Kandy and Mistie, thanks for a SUPER fun phocation! (You know, not a full on vacation, or a staycation, but photos + a day that felt like a vacation = phocation!)
