Now scheduling for 2010!

Well, I've said it before, but it bears repeating: THANK YOU to all of you who have trusted me with capturing your memories so far! I was quite reticent to turn this photography obsession of mine into a little side biz, but what a blessing it has become. Having this official creative outlet, and getting to spend a few hours here and there with so many lovely people, has really added a lot of sheer fun and fulfillment to my life. I'm so very grateful!!

I'm still keeping my day job, as a Wife and Mommy, so the # of sessions I do is limited! 2009 is full up, but I LOVE to plan ahead... and for those who already have their 2010 calendar going, I have been honoring my 2009 pricing (including session fees, prints, packages, and products) as they book now for next year. So, if you're a fellow planner, feel free to shoot me an e-mail (jamie.zanotti@gmail.com), and I'll be happy to reserve some time for you at the 2009 rates, too!

Family: The D's

What a privilege to spend my Saturday morning in the presence of this warm, fun-loving family! And here they thought I was there to take pictures--really, I would have shown up just to observe their beautiful interactions and take notes. ;0) You know it's going to be a great session when Grandma and Grandpa set this kind of a tone:

I told you I'd be visiting this bench again:

The whole crew:

At one point, I had Nick get behind me to make Kate smile, and I don't know what he was doing, but Kate started laughing so hard tears started rolling... I whipped around to catch him in the act, and, like I said, didn't figure out what on earth he was doing, but he was certainly look mischievous, don't you think?

You should know, when doing a session with me, that I can be sneaky. ;0) When Parker fell asleep on Denise's lap, she said, "Do you want any pictures of Parker sleeping?" I looked over, and said, "Oh, yes!" ...but not just because Parker was looking so irresistible. What I saw was the delight on Grandma's face, and I had to capture that:

Grandpa had his turn a little while later:

Yet another spot I'll be re-visiting:

Kate, I know it's just a wee bit early, but I call dibbs on doing Hayley's Senior Photos!! Oh, how I love this girl! She is an extraordinary role model for my daughter, and she's quite fun in front of the camera, to boot:

Thanks, D Fam!!!

Family: The T's

I'm a collector of Margaret Furlong's angel ornaments. I think I'm going to have to add Baby Addison Angel to my collection:

Big sis Ashlyn is pretty angelic, too:

Okay, the whole T Family is just perty dern awesome:

Some more favs:

I love this bench we found! I'll definitely be re-visiting it in the future:

I asked Karen, "Can you give me a calm, contented-like smile?" Boy, did she deliver! Way to bring out the inner model, Karen!! ;0)

Do these just scream summer, or what:

(Testing out the distortion on the wide angle lens here, just for kicks...)

I snapped these of Ashlyn while Addison was getting a fresh diaper. It was the highlight of my night, when after taking a few I said, "Okay, Ashlyn. You can take a break now!" and she said, "I don't want a break!!!" Too cool.

Thanks for a super fun stroll around the University, T Fam! I hope you love these as much as I do!!

Wedding: Drew & Danielle (Part II)

I was THRILLED when Amber invited me to shoot her Brother-in-Law, Drew, and Danielle's wedding with her. We have SOOOOO much fun together!! Amber is one of my closest friends, even though she lives in Idaho. We dream of having a studio together someday. ;0) For now, we hope to connect a couple times a year to team up and do weddings! We have such different "eyes", so it was really fun to see the different pics each of us got from the same moments. Here's what I saw most of the day:

He he he. When I wasn't on assignment, I got to tag along and snap alongside Amber, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Here's a smattering of what I captured from Drew and Danielle's day, starting with portraits of Danielle in her Pastor's/Pastor's Wife's (a.k.a. Mom and Dad to Danielle) gorgeous back yard:

My favorite image from the day:

Okay, wait... Maybe these are my favorite! I got to catch Danielle's expressions while Amber caught Drew's as they saw each other for the first time on their wedding day:

Right after this hug, Danielle said, "Okay! I feel better now." ;0) Their tenderness with each other and everyone around them, and transparent joy, was a privilege to experience.

Another favorite:

A few ceremony shots:

(For my fellow camera geeks: The ceremony pics were all shot with no flash, at 1.4 with an 800 ISO. My shutter speed was in the 100 range.)

Drew and his brothers/groomsmen:

Danielle and her sis, and best friend (I think--forgive me if I've got that wrong, Danielle!):

I'll end with this one. The Pastor and his wife were incredibly warm and inclusive, and just set a peaceful, loving tone the whole day. They've got a team headed out to do mission work in Africa, so send a prayer up on their behalf if you think of it! I grabbed this one while they were waiting for their turn in Bridal Party pics:

Thanks so much again, Amber, and Drew and Danielle, for letting me be a little part in your beautiful day!
